Enjoy playing this classic favourite table game with minimum bets starting at as little as $5 on Friday night (8.30pm – 9.30pm) and $10 at other times.
The object of Blackjack is to beat the croupier by obtaining a total card value as close to 21 as possible without going over. If your hand of two or more cards is closer to 21 than the croupier's you win and are paid even money. Picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) count as ten, Ace counts as 1 or 11 and all other cards are face value. A Blackjack is when the first two cards dealt to you are a ten or picture card, and an Ace. Blackjack pays 3 to 2.
Bets must be placed in the boxed area. Each player in turn, starting from the croupier's left either stands on their first two cards or draws more cards to reach a total above 11 but not exceeding 21. The croupier must draw a card on 16 and stand on 17 or more. If your first two cards are a pair, you may split them and place an equal bet to your original bet and play 2 hands.
If you split Aces, you will receive one card on each Ace only, and if this second card is a ten or picture card, this counts 21, not as Blackjack. If your first two cards total 9, 10 or 11 without an Ace you may double your initial bet. However, you will receive one additional card only. Doubling is also permitted on split hands. If the croupier's first card is an Ace, you may place a bet of up to half your initial wager in the area marked 'Insurance'. If the croupier obtains Blackjack you are paid 2 to 1. If you have doubled or split you only lose the value of your original wager.
