Green Room

Historically, the Green Room is defined as "a room in a theatre for the accommodation of the actors and actresses when not requested on the stage".

Green Rooms are a common feature of theatres and television studios throughout the English speaking world, and although the origin of the term is unknown it was in use in the London theatres in the last half of the seventeenth century and perhaps earlier.

In addition to the traditional use, Wrest Point's Green Room provides an ideal venue for small meetings of up to 75 delegates theatre style. It offers private bathroom facilities, an in-built bar if required, natural lighting and can accommodate audio visual requirements.

The room is located on the top level of the Conference Centre, with a main door in addition to the access to the rear of the Tasman Room stage.
