At the Pier One we welcome larger groups to our restaurant and we have a number of options to suit your occasion or celebration. Whether it’s in our Private Dining room, groups within the restaurant or exclusive full restaurant use – our team look forward to working with you.
We request that you liaise directly with our restaurant manager - by completing our online enquiry form for group sizes of 12 people or more. Once received we will respond within 48 hours. Alternatively, you can call (03) 6221 1888.

Light Menu & Pizza
Available from 2.30pm to 5 pm daily, this menu provides a great way to sample Tasmania’s best food and wine by the waterfront.
Some of our pizza options include Cape Grim beef, harissa spiced prawns, forest mushroom and homemade pizza sauces.
Our light menu allows for the ultimate indulgence of share plates. Options include Tasmanian cheeses, delectable desserts and a selection of fresh oysters.
Complete the picture with an extensive Tasmanian wine list, al fresco style on Hobart’s absolute waterfront, and you will walk away with an amazing experience.
There’s no need to book for light meal options – join us in the lounge area or the deck overlooking the Derwent River and discuss the options with one of our friendly team members.

Pier One Private Dining Room
If you’re looking for a dining room with your own private waterfront views – Pier One will be just right for you. Enjoy good conversation in your own space with absolute water frontage and cheerful service. This is your place to enjoy a long lunch with good friends, work colleagues or to mark a special event.
For a cocktail-style function, the room can accommodate up to 60, with a sit-down capacity of 40 guests. Bright and contemporary, the space is available seven days and is boosted by the ever-present beauty of the River Derwent just beyond the window glass.
With a choice of menus and the option to design your own food and drink options, the Pier One Private Dining Room is a delightful space to entertain.

Hosted by Wrest Point MC Lois Ryan and joined by guest MCs Bella Laughton-Clark from the Australian Wooden Boat Festival and Kaci Cronkhite, author, round-the-world sailor and former director of the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival in Washington, USA.
Enjoy a delicious two-course menu prepared by Tasmanian Chef of the Year 2015 Robin Kelly and be serenaded with live entertainment from Alan Gogoll.
