 Cheese Master Class

6.30pm, Tuesday 28 July 2015

The French are undoubtedly the masters of class. Luxury is a part of the lifestyle, and the French understand indulgence in its finest form.

Discover how the French created over 400 cheeses, develop your ‘la connaissance de fromage’ (cheese knowledge) and spoil your palate with the indulgent rich and creamy flavours of years of French culinary heritage.

Join The Point’s Chef de Cuisine, Kent Sullivan along with Ian Fowler of Bay of Fires Cheese as they guide you through cooking with cheese, ‘why cheese and wine?’, cheese making and sweet cheeses.

Craftsman Ian Fowler’s family cheese making heritage is traced back to the 1600’s in England, with family cheese-making secrets being handed down through thirteen generations. That pedigree isn’t stopping Ian from making some very original boutique cheese - his speciality is cheddar style and all his handmade cheeses are crafted on Tasmania’s East Coast.

$70 per person includes four course guided French cheese master class
