Sponsorship

Wrest Point is an active participant in the community and has a long history of supporting many of Tasmania’s iconic events such as the City to Casino Fun Run & Walk, The Point to Pinnacle, The Chinese Lunar New Year Festival, Festival of Voices and Targa Tasmania.

We are also proud sponsors of sporting events and teams including The Sandy Bay Regatta, The Hobart Chargers, South Hobart Football Club and Hobart City Football Club.

Currently under review, right now our sponsorship and community programs are fully subscribed, but if you would like to discuss what options might be open to you in the future, please contact sponsorship@wrestpoint.com.au

Conferences, dinners and exhibitions

Our sponsor and community program does not extend to sponsorship or in-kind support for conferences, dinners or events staged in our facilities unless they are part of an existing partner or community engagement agreement such as our ongoing relationship with Variety Tasmania, The Tasmanian Hospitality Association, The Beacon Foundation and suchlike.

Our Conferences and Events team, however, may be able to offer some reductions and value-adds on your fixed costs based on the number of attendees and the time, date and duration of your function. Please discuss this with them when you book your in-house event.

Raffle prizes and fundraising

While we do provide a great deal of support for local schools and community organisations in the form of raffle prizes and donations of in-kind services, we are currently reviewing how we might better support the community objectives of some of these recipients.

As a rule, as valuable as their support is to the greater good, we do not offer support to individuals. Nor are we able to provide additional support to community groups, schools or organisations already receiving support from us.

As we finalise the details of our Good Friends and Neighbours Fund, if you are seeking a prize or similar donation, please contact sponsorship@wrestpoint.com.au and a form will be sent to you.

Current Sponsorship and Community Engagement Programs

As a guide, Wrest Point partners with events and clubs that fit with the Wrest Point brand and that have the capacity and ability to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.

When Wrest Point considers sponsorship requests they are assessed against criteria based around brand fit. Wrest Point looks for partnerships that offer:

  • Enhanced brand positioning beyond our logo on your website or brochure
  • New channels of customer contact that we cannot otherwise access
  • Alignment with Wrest Point’s customer base, whether locally or interstate
  • Promotion that creates positive consumer and community sentiment
  • Cross-linkages to Wrest Point’s current business strategy and objectives

Before completing the form below, while we finalise our new sponsorship and community engagement framework please contact sponsorship@wrestpoint.com.au to discuss your eligibility for support.
