On the 10th February 2018 Wrest Point celebrated 45 years as Tasmania’s leading entertainment destination. Since its creation 45 years ago Wrest Point and its iconic tower accommodation rooms have been a significant part of the Tasmanian tourism industry.
Luxury and opulence return to Wrest Point Hotel with the recent refurbishment of two floors of rooms and suites in the tower. These rooms are now on sale with a further five floors of the Wrest Point tower set to be completed this year.
The architectural inspiration of the rooms was the tower location which espouses both coastal and wilderness outlooks. With absolute water frontage and uninhibited views of kunanyi/Mt Wellington, the spacious rooms are elegantly furnished. With abundant light, clean lines, neutral palettes and simplistic design, they serve as a frame to the real masterpiece out the window.
All rooms feature original Tasmanian art, selected to complement the new decor.
Harbour View and Mountain View Deluxe Rooms feature a walk-in shower, coffee pod machines, pillow top king-size bed and large TV. The suites have a separate lounge area, oversized bathroom with double vanities, bath, separate rain shower, walk-in dressing room and nightly turn down service.
Importantly, the suites are now configured so that the bed is positioned looking outward. Now one can admire the beauty of the coast or wilderness without even having to get out of bed!
The first two floors of the tower have been completed for some months now and the response from guests has been extremely positive with demand being high for the rooms. We are proud of the transformation.
The Wrest Point team is working hard to plan and recommence works on the tower over the following months to get more rooms refurbished ahead of spring and summer 2018.
After 45 years the Wrest Point tower continues to deliver some of the best accommodation and entertainment offerings in Tasmania, and the team is confident that this round of upgrades will only continue this customer experience into the future.
